Very true. Embroidery can be a really useful source to make money. Just you need to be creative and innovative. Many items can be made using hand-embroidery such as key-chains, lockets, bracelets, ear-rings, hairpins, small purses, mobile covers and many more. If you have the creativity and skills, then embroidery is really a good option for earning.

-- Now it is possible to run a small business at home with embroidery machine or knowing stitching.



Now even women are not lying back in running the house.In India, many women are working at their home for earning a supplement income.This represent a true example of 'Women Entrepreneurship'. Yes, they are the Entrepreneur running a small business at there home.

Besides doing a embroidery designs and stitching business there are the others business that are run by the Indian Women without any investment.For running a small embroidery and sewing business you required a minimum investment of 3 to 4 lakhs rupee, but in India, women are running a business without any investment and earn a supplement income for their home.

Since, Ahmadabad is a hub of Textile in india, you will find many commercial sweing business over there.On a average they sew around 1000 dress per day per unit.Since, this business are not large enough to handle all the process with in the units, they do all the other process externally.

They distrubute the dress in their local area in a small bulk of 100s and then women who are not employed and remain at home all the time will do the other process on it like Iron,Cord Stitches etc.


In above image, a women is doing a stitching to the Embroidery dress at her home.On a average they do around 100 to 120 such dress per day and earn a income of Rs.100 per day that mean 3000 Rs per month.

In below image you will find a thread made for the dress for the raw thin threads.



This thread are then stitches on the dress (check the first image) before final Pacaking. A Women can earn on a average of Rs 80 per day by making such threads.
