Hello Friends;

Getting a error 'unknow Format' with your designs? This may be a case of corrupted designs.If you get an error indicating that designs is unknow format then it may be a corrupted designs. The error may look like below:

Further, it is important to note that if you are getting an error of 'unknow Format' with EMB Designs then it may be possible that instead of being corrupted the designs may be created in a new version.

Yes, if your software do not support the new latest EMB designs then it will show the same error as shown in above image.

How to identify that the designs is created in a latest Wilcom software and it is not corrupted designs?

It very simple, click on the unknow format designs and try to open the designs.If the designs is not corrupted and created in a latest version then you will get an error that 'Designs is created in a latest version' as shown below:

How to solve this error?

To solve this issue you have to upgrade your wilcom version or else convert the designs to your version.
Open your designs using Wilcom True sizer and then save the designs in a format supported by your Wilcom software. For example; In the below image we have converted the designs from the latest version to Wilcom 2006.

If you are using Wilcom ES 9 (Older version), then after converting the designs using wilcom true sizer e3, again open the designs using true sizer e2 and save the designs to wilcom ES 9 as shown in below image:

After converting the designs in ES 9, you will able to open the design with your older version.

To Sum Up;

1) Open the designs in latest wilcom true sizer e3 and convert it in to Wilcom ES 2006
2) If you are using Wilcom ES 9 then again open the designs in Wilcom true sizer e2 and save the designs in Wilcom ES 9.
3) Then open the designs using your ES 9.

Please make a note that it is necessary to convert the designs using both True sizer e3 and e2.This is because, True sizer e2 will not open the latest version and true sizer e3 donot have the option to save the designs in Wilcom ES 9.

So first open the designs using wilcom true sizer e3 and then save it in to Wilcom 2006 and then open the design using true sizer e2 and save it in Wilcom ES9
